VietNamNet Bridge - Phu Quoc Island has beaten Ha Long Bay, the most popular destination in 2007, to top the 2008 – 2009 tourism list, according to an SGGP survey of 1,000 people in HCM City.
VietNamNet Bridge - Sapa will be expanded five folds compared to its current size and children and women will be no longer hot on the heels of tourists to sell local products in the near future.
Ha Noi (VNA) – With age-old cultural values and techniques that have been passed down from general to generation, handicraft villages have increasingly become appealing destinations for tourists.Almost all craft villages are located near major transportation routes, making them accessible for tourists who want to visit craft villages.
While Binh Thuan has yet to transcend the status of its counterparts, resorts are continuously springing up alongside the fishing villages, sand dunes and unspoiled beaches, helping the province achieve its target of building 200 to 250 resorts by 2010, more than double the current number.
The adventure tourism has developed well in recent years. In 2002, a foreign business organised an adventure tour for 600 participants, starting from Lao Cai province to Ha Long Bay in a fortnight. Then, tours to conquer the peak of Fancipan, the highest in Indochina, were organised.

Vietnam welcomed 300,000 foreign tourists from international cruise ships in 2007, compared to 224,000 visitors in 2006.
